Service Oriented Architect - Integration Engineer

Challenge yourself with this opportunity for a talented individual to support a major system development program for a large government agency. This person will perform as a primary contributor to design, build, and test system integration solutions within a Service Oriented Architecture ( Enterprise Service Bus).

Primary job functions include:

· Participate in the Design, Build, and Test activities of the Enterprise Service Bus/SOA/Integration Tier Architecture (Web Services, Java, Javascript, Strutts) especially regarding integration of systems and components and data sharing.

· Create Architectural frameworks for reuse by junior developers.

· Work with the customer and end users to define applications and technical requirements.

· Help define the application and technical architecture structure, ensuring that it meets the business requirements and performance goals that the technical direction is consistent with the client’s long-term direction.

· Work with other architects and developers to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements

· Displays an expert proficiency level of the technical architecture used in their area and the appropriate industry practices where applicable.

Areas of Expertise:

· Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle

· Skills in at least one of the following skill areas:

Java, Javascript

Struts

SOAP/Web Services

Continually seek out knowledge to improve on professional skills

Demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and energy at work

Ability to understand various technology in order to create architecture scope, definition, construction, and execution.

Ability to review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines.

Ability to consult with and develop technical resources for methods, procedures, and standards to use during design, development, and unit testing phases of the project.

Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve system development issues and risks, escalating them as needed

Experience with NIEM
